The Darjeeling Limited

To call “The Darjeeling Limited” precious is less a critical judgment than a simple statement of fact, equivalent to saying that the movie is in color, that it’s set in India or that it’s 91 minutes long.

Some would argue that The Darjeeling Limited is a comedy. In a sense, that's true, and Anderson's previous efforts - from Bottle Rocket to The Life Aquatic - have all fallen within the loosely defined boundaries of the genre. However, this film is easily the most serious of Anderson's efforts, and seems more dramatic in both scope and intent. The "comedy," to the extent that it is present, is not the kind that will cause audience members to break out in laughter. It's more of the wry, cutting variety - the sort of thing that goes hand-in-hand with a screenplay that forces a reviewer to search for synonyms of "quirky."

Sony VAIO NR160E/W

The good: Least expensive VAIO laptop yet; keeps Sony's excellent laptop keyboard, plus extras such as an Express Card slot.

The bad: Looks and feels noticeably cheaper than more expensive VAIOs, loaded down with performance-killing bloatware.

The bottom line: Kudos to Sony for releasing the sub-$1,000 VAIO NR160. It's a perfectly functional, budget 15-inch laptop--we just wish it didn't stray so far from the excellent industrial design of the company's more expensive systems.

Adhysteria.com was born because we saw a need for a place where the community could come together and help one another out. A site which would enable everyone to find their basic day to day requirements in an efficient and simple manner. Community members can come here to find a house to live, a job, make new friends who share their interests, get an audience for their upcoming performance, trade anything else that they might want or have to offer or help out someone in need.

We try to keep things simple and fun. We want people to enjoy their daily activities and we think Adhysteria.com is a way of doing that. The Internet has done wonders to help bring ideas and people together from all over the world. But what about helping create a deeper sense of community right here, in our own city, within our own neighborhood? We’d like to help foster the feeling where we all come together and help each other out.
